Associação entre bullying escolar e comportamentos alimentares de risco em adolescentes da Região Metropolitana de Lima e Callao

Objetivos: Estabelecer a associação entre bullying escolar (AE) e comportamentos alimentares de risco (CAR) em adolescentes da Região Metropolitana de Lima e Callao. Material e métodos: Estudo descritivo, transversal e correlacional baseado no banco de dados do Estudo Epidemiológico do Instituto Nacional de Saúde Mental-2012. A amostra incluiu 1490 adolescentes de 12 a 17 anos. Foram utilizadas pontuações da escala de AE e o Questionário de CAR, além de variáveis sociodemográficas. Realizaram-se análises bivariadas para avaliar a associação entre AE, CAR e as variáveis sociodemográficas, e propôs-se um modelo explicativo de CAR mediante regressão logística binária, complementado com Odds Ratio e prevalências. Resultados: As prevalências anuais observadas foram de 43,8% para AE e 23,5% para CAR. Encontrou-se uma associação significativa entre AE e CAR (p<0,001). O modelo explicativo de CAR mostrou um bom ajuste (p<0,001) tendo como preditores significativos: BE (p<0,001), sexo (p<0,05) e idade (p<0,05). Conclusões: Confirmou-se uma associação significativa entre AE e CAR. O modelo explicativo proposto revela que ser mulher, ter entre 15 e 17 anos, e ter sido vítima de AE são fatores de risco que contribuem para a presença de CAR em adolescentes. As estratégias preventivas de CAR devem incluir a abordagem do AE no ambiente escolar, com especial atenção aos grupos mais vulneráveis.
