Teoria da mente nos subtipos de défice cognitivo ligeiro: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

É sabido que a cognição social é afetada na doença de Alzheimer e noutras demências. Estudos recentes sugerem que estas capacidades cognitivas sociais também podem estar comprometidas no défice cognitivo ligeiro. O objetivo desta revisão sistemática foi recolher e resumir estudos que analisam o funcionamento e a trajetória da teoria da mente em doentes com diferentes tipos de défice cognitivo ligeiro (i.e., amnéstico, não amnéstico, de domínio único ou multidomínio). Especificamente, identificámos 16 artigos publicados entre 2013 e 2023 que cumpriam os critérios de inclusão. A pesquisa, seleção e extração dos estudos seguiram as directrizes PRISMA. Os resultados de 15 desses 16 artigos mostram que a teoria da mente é prejudicada em todos os tipos de comprometimento cognitivo leve, especialmente no tipo amnéstico, independentemente da etiologia e dos critérios de diagnóstico utilizados. Apenas 1 dos 16 artigos não refere qualquer diferença significativa no desempenho da teoria da mente entre os diferentes tipos de DCL. Em conclusão, os resultados desta revisão sugerem que o défice cognitivo ligeiro está associado a défices significativos na teoria da mente, especialmente no subtipo amnésico. No entanto, são necessários mais estudos longitudinais para investigar a evolução dos défices da teoria da mente em diferentes subtipos de défice cognitivo ligeiro e estudos que explorem melhor os correlatos comportamentais e neurais destes défices.
