Aplicaciones móviles para pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica en tratamiento de hemodiálisis: una revisión sistemática

Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica disponible a nivel mundial sobre las aplicaciones móviles válidas y confiables en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) en tratamiento de hemodiálisis. Material y métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática con base en la declaración PRISMA y la pregunta de búsqueda con el formato PICOT-D. Se consultó la base de datos con palabras clave en doce idiomas. Se incluyeron artículos donde se hayan diseñado y validado o evaluado aplicaciones móviles para pacientes con ERC en tratamiento de hemodiálisis. Resultados: De 474 publicaciones se seleccionaron ocho artículos que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Las aplicaciones móviles se diseñaron con diferentes metodologías. Se encontraron siete aplicaciones diseñadas en Brasil, Australia, Chicago, Malasia, Dubái, y un estudio fue una revisión sistemática que mostró la evaluación y la confiablidad de aplicaciones móviles sobre nutrición en pacientes con ERC. Todos los estudios informaron sobre aplicaciones móviles destinadas al autocontrol y a la autogestión de pacientes con ERC. Los idiomas de las aplicaciones fueron el portugués, el inglés, el árabe y el malayo-mandarín. Conclusiones: Los hallazgos pueden ser utilizados para fomentar el diseño y la validación de aplicaciones en salud dirigidas al autocuidado del paciente con ERC en tratamiento de hemodiálisis por la disciplina de la enfermería, ya que los profesionales de enfermería son piezas clave para el fomento del autocuidado, y más aún para grupos vulnerables, como lo es la población con ERC.
