The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial resistance profile of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from consultation rooms of veterinary clinics located in the district of Santiago de Surco, Lima, during 2025. An observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was conducted. Samples were collected by swabbing frequently used clinical surfaces and instruments. Bacteria were isolated using selective and differential media, identified through conventional biochemical tests, and evaluated using the agar diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer). Bacterial growth was detected in 77.1% of samples, with a predominance of the genus Staphylococcus (82.2%). Coexistence of species was observed in 21.6% of positive samples, mainly between E. coli and Staphylococcus spp. P. aeruginosa was not isolated. High resistance to ampicillin was observed across all evaluated species, along with elevated levels of multidrug resistance, particularly in E. coli (87.5%). The surfaces with the highest frequency of resistant isolates were the examination table, floor, and scale, identified as critical contamination points within consultation rooms. These findings highlight the need to strengthen biosafety programs and microbiological surveillance in veterinary clinical settings.
