Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Revista Psicológica Herediana  is a journal sponsored by the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, Peru, that publishes results of original research for Psychology and other related disciplines, besides being original and unpublished. They can be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English.

The Revista Psicológica Herediana is published two times a year.

The Revista Psicológica Herediana does not receive payments from the authors of the articles for submitting their articles to the editorial process, nor does it receive payments for the articles published.

All articles published in Revista Psicológica Herediana are under a Creative Commons Reconocimiento 4.0 Internacional license.


Form and preparation of manuscripts

The article should be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English, in word office  ISO A4, Times New Roman font, size 12, double-spaced, with 25 mm margins.

The decimal fractions should be separated from the whole numbers with decimal comma and the thousands and millions should be separated by a simple space.

In the text in English, the decimal fractions are separated from the entire ones with a period. Each part of the article should begin in a separate page.

In case of textual quotations, the corresponding paragraph within the text will stand out placing it between quotation marks or writing it with italics.

The tables, figures, and graphics with their corresponding title are placed at the end of the text in separate pages; they should not be inserted within the text.

The key words should be descriptors in Health Sciences (DECS), which can be consulted in: http://wwwdecs.bvs.br/E/decswebe.htm .

Page of the Title

The page of the title should contain: Title of the article in the original language (Spanish or Portuguese) and in English, full name of the author, or authors, institution where the study was conducted and the address of the correspondence.

The name of the author or authors should follow the following order: Name, Paternal surname and, maternal surname.
The names of the authors should be separated among themselves by a comma.
The name of the author should be placed after the Title or obtained Academic Degree and the appeal for the institutional affiliation in Arabic numbers in superscript.

The name of the institution or institutions to which the author has affiliation, is placed after the last author and in a separate paragraph, preceded by the corresponding number in superscript.

For the correspondence, the name of the author in charge, address, postal code, and E-mail should be placed. The telephone number can be placed in addition.


Page of Declaration of Financing and of Conflicts of Interests

The financial source should be placed in this page: Economic support received in the form of grant, donation of equipment, or contribution of drugs and another type of support, and the possible conflicts of interests of the author or authors, whether of economic, institutional, labor or personal order.
