Predictores cognitivos de la conducta parental en madres maltratadas

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar los factores de la conducta racional que son predictores de las conductas parentales en 100 madres que reportaron ser maltratadas por sus parejas y acudieron a evaluación al Instituto de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses en la ciudad de Lima. Los instrumentos utilizados para recoger la información fueron el Inventario de Conducta Racional y el Inventario de Conducta Parental. Se aplicó el análisis de regresión múltiple mediante el método paso a paso (stepwise) para identificar los factores de la conducta racional que predicen las conductas parentales en la muestra del estudio. Los resultados indican que el factor aprobación predice la conducta parental hostil/coercitiva con una relación positiva, mientras que el factor grado de independencia predice la conducta parental apoyo/compromiso, siendo esta una relación negativa. Pese a que el factor sentimiento de culpa no cumple un rol predictivo, se discute su correlación positiva con la conducta parental hostil/coercitiva. Los hallazgos pretenden contribuir con el conocimiento de la interacción madre - hijo en contextos de violencia de pareja y motivar decisiones adecuadas para el manejo de esta problemática.
